Full-Time Implementation Specialist: POS

The Implementation Specialist performs onsite implementation of the SkyWire Point of Sales System and will primarily operate as a lead or part of a project team during an installation engagement. Must be able to efficiently manage the planning and communication of assigned project tasks, communicate professionally to co-workers, project stake holders and customers, learn new products and processes quickly, balance multiple priorities, and develop a solid understanding of SkyWire products in all vertical markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consult with Project Manager/ Project Lead or Project team regarding operational considerations and configuration of systems to support customer requirements
  • Work with Project Leads/Project Coordinator/Project Managers to Identify and manage project scope.  Manage project risks and establish effective communication plan for escalation process; provide solutions for issues resulting in project scope change
  • Conduct discovery/site-survey sessions with new customers to identify operational requirements and provide best-practice recommendations
  • Create discovery/site-survey recap documentation for customer sign-off
  • Gather site requirements, review and recommend operational design as it pertains to the installation
  • Configure and test system configuration in order to maximize efficiency and provide operational consistency
  • Work with Project team and Integration Team to ensure all applicable interfaces and integration components are scheduled and tested
  • Prepare training schedules and conduct training sessions
  • Live monitor operations by providing end user assistance for the various business cases where the SkyWire product line is implemented
  • Coordinate with the client teams to develop processes, procedures, and documentation to enhance our implementation and training services
  • Develop detailed project documentation upon completion of project to ensure that the Customer Support team has all relevant information to handle support for client going forward
  • Any other projects needed by management

Minimum  Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year work experience in the hospitality industry related to Point of Sale
  • 1-year experience in system implementation related to hospitality
  • Must reside in Las Vegas, NV

Minimum Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals with differing knowledge levels
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to go above and beyond to exceed client expectations
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills under pressure
  • The ability to handle pressure during peak business seasons
  • Robust technical knowledge of computer hardware/software
  • The ability to solve problems effectively and independently if necessary
  • Dedication to customer service is a must
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and great team player
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office products
  • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-initiative
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changes in project priorities
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule
  • Be available to travel at least 90% of the year to both domestic and international customer sites with limited advanced notice

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or technology
  • Bilingual a plus

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift at least 60lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for 80% of shift
  • Constantly positions self to install and maintain POS terminals and peripherals in live environments, including underneath work stations and in kitchens
  • Constantly working in casino and club environments where conditions may include smoke and late hours
  • Must be able to observe, identify, and correct technical and operational errors during live support
